Kerala Tourist season begins after the monsoon rains. Normally it starts from mid September till end of February.  The peak season is during Christmas and Diwali Festivals. During new year also there are large number of visitors traveling to Kerala.  The Pilgrim season is usually from November till January.  During this period there are many pilgrims coming from different parts of India. During the peak tourist season the daily rent in hotels will be very high. This happens during Diwali, Christmas and new year. During off season also there are tourists visiting Kerala.  Off season rates are very low compared to peak season. During off season the tourists have to pay less taxes also.  There are tax incentives during this period. So the total cost will be comparatively very less.
